• The composition of the pacifier cord can change if the name is longer than five letters, to stay within the maximum length. We always try to keep the style of the pacifier cord!

How to care for the pacifier cord
You can clean the pacifier cord with a slightly damp cloth. A baby wipe also works well for this. Be careful not to put the pacifier cord in the dishwasher, washing machine or microwave sterilizer; this can damage the pacifier cord.

Important Safety Instructions:

• Standard: Tested and manufactured according to European legislation NEN-Norm 12586.
• Use: A May Mays pacifier cord is not a toy. Check the pacifier cord before each use.
• Supervision: Prevent the risk of suffocation. Never leave your baby alone with a pacifier cord and always supervise. Never put your child to bed or playpen with a pacifier cord.
• Defects: Stop using the pacifier cord when parts become loose.
• Not for biting: The pacifier cord is not intended for biting.
• Cleaning: Do not clean the pacifier cord under the tap, but with a baby wipe or detol cloth. The clip of the pacifier cord is not resistant to (much) water use and can therefore lose its strength or break.
• Responsibility: The use of a pacifier cord is at your own risk. May Mays is not liable for any damage caused by the use of a pacifier cord.

What should you pay attention to when purchasing a pacifier cord?
There are guidelines that a proper pacifier cord must meet. The requirements are described in NEN-Norm 12586, which determines the safety requirements and test methods for pacifier holders.

NEN Standard 12586 guidelines:

• Length: A pacifier cord may be a maximum of 25 cm long. Without clip, the pacifier cord may be 22 cm.
• Width: The cord must be at least 2 mm wide for sufficient strength.
• Pacifier clip: The pacifier clip must have ventilation holes with a diameter of 4 mm.
